In May 2023, Huawei convened its prestigious IDI Forum in Munich, Germany, gathering influential visionaries, industry experts, and ecosystem partners to delve into the future landscape of data infrastructure development. Landelion was commissioned by Huawei's event service provider to deliver simultaneous interpretation services in English-French and English-German throughout the conference proceedings.
Project Difficulties
1. With the conference situated in Munich, Germany, the client prioritized European-based interpreters who met exacting standards in terms of language proficiency, professional experience, appearance, and deportment;
2. During a three-month interval stretching from the initial proposal of requirements to the confirmation of meeting dates and subsequent contract execution, the project encountered evolving customer needs, interpreter scheduling conflicts, and various unforeseen circumstances;
3. The substantial disparities in communication styles, cultural practices, industry norms, and work habits between Europe and China presented notable obstacles during the execution phase of the project;
4. Some interpreters were sourced remotely, requiring careful attention to visa validity periods, travel expenses, and itinerary arrangements.

1. Global resource mobilization to bridge geographic gaps
In response to the client's specific requirements, Landelion activated its Global Talent Pool of Cross-Border Communications (GTPCC), backed by more than 100,000 professionals worldwide. Following a series of rigorous selection procedures, four interpreters proficient in English-French or English-German were identified to serve the client;

Advance discussions with interpreters about visa applications, travel schedules, and other details ensured their punctual arrival. Catering, transportation, and accommodation were also handled by our administrative support team, offering a worry-free experience for both the client and interpreters.
